Spam techniques are techniques that try to falsely ensure a high ranking of a website on a search engine. They sometimes do this by repeating keywords too often. Search engines can pick this up by simply comparing the ratio of keywords to the number of words per page. If it seems that a website is ‘spamming’ they may be blacklisted on the search engine!
